Travelling in winter? Well, you definitely to pack these items for hassle-free travel

Winters are yet the most beautiful time of the year. The snow-capped mountains, the cosy blankets and the stuffed bear clothes are the most wonderful part of winter.

But of course, everything beautiful comes with its cons and so does winter. Dry skin, cold burns, winter allergies, cold and cough etc are some of the cons to list. But we can definitely deal with them, especially during travelling. We just need some extra precautions and a few extra things to make our winter travel hassle-free.

Here is a list of winter essentials to pack while travelling during the winter season:

1. Winter allergy medicines

It is one of the most important things to carry while you are on winter travel. Winter allergies like colds and coughs are common especially if you are travelling from low atmospheric pressure to higher atmospheric pressure.

2. Scaffs, caps, warm socks and gloves

Scaffs, gloves, caps and warm socks are a must if you want to save yourself from extreme cold and getting sick in the middle of your trip. The Nani, Dadi says "You get the best of cold from bare feet and open ears". Hence keep your hands and feet warm. Also, cover your head and ears to not let the harsh winter breeze get the best of you.

3. Sunscreen

Well, sunscreen is one of the most significant things to carry regardless of the season. You will be surprised to know that UV radiations are stronger during the winter season. Yes, despite the cold weather, the sun continues to shine and as that happens, UV rays continue to batter the Earth (and your skin) during winter. The UV rays that hit us in winter are more penetrative than the ones in summer.

So, applying sunscreen during winter is quite essential!

4. Thermal

Thermals are essentials which are a must needed during the winter season. Whether you are travelling to -10°C or just 0°C thermals are a great way to keep yourself warm and tight as they use your body heat as insulation against the winter cold. These will keep you warm and snug, and act as a good additional layer of heat retention if your down jacket alone isn’t getting the job done.

5. Heavy Moisturizers and Vaseline

It's important to keep your screen well nourished and hydrated during the winter season as it is notoriously dry due to the low humidity. Harsh winds and low moisture content in the air make our skin dull and dry causing them to peel off and make our skin extremely dry. Choose from ingredients like shea butter and other ingredients which help in restoring the natural oils of the skin.

6. Heat packs

Heat packs or hand warmers will help you stay warm when you’re out and about in the severe cold. These are necessary especially when you are travelling to an extremely cold destination.
