1. Make sure you get travel insurance well in advance. The travel insurance for a 10 days trip costs around Rs. 800 per person.
2. There are no direct flights from India to Bali. Also, flight tickets can get very expensive so book in advance.
3. Cash is the king in Bali. Make sure you carry ample cash. Islands like Nusa Penida rely completely on cash. The currency in Bali is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR).

4. The best time to visit Bali is between May to October. Bali mostly has tropical weather in most parts whereas the northern part of Bali can get a bit chilly.

6. Grab and Gojek are for internal transfers by cab. Renting a bike is the easiest to go around. Scooter rentals cost anywhere between IDR 70,000 to IDR 100k (Rs. 350-500 per day).
7. Vegetarians and vegans are lucky in Bali as you will get ample vegetarian and vegan food in Bali.
8. Avoid consuming food from very small stalls and avoid drinking outside water. Consume water only from packed drinking bottles.
9. Bali swings are worth the hype. ATV rides and River rafting are incredible and can be done at very affordable prices in Ubud. (Rs. 4000 per person).
10. Locals will have the brightest smile when you greet them in Balinese. Try to learn a few basic words.
11. Krisna Oleh Oleh in Seminyak is the best place to bring back souvenirs at reasonable prices.
12. Telkomsel offers the best network. You can buy a sim card easily. Everyone relies on WhatsApp here so Calling is technically not much required.
